Lights, camera, action!

What I love about being here is I get to wear many different hats. One day I’m a preacher, the next day I’m a social media expert (or so I’m told). Over the past few days I’ve been a Script Writer, Movie Director and TelePrompTer Operator (glamorous, I know).
I have been working on the promotional campaign for the Diraja Project. PDN’S latest fundraising campaign to build a training center here in Kampala to help cope with the expanding numbers of Pastors desperate to receive training. I’ve been giving a very un unique western perspective, to help them communicate effectively the need that is here in Africa (over 60% of pastors have had non theological training, but running churches sometimes with hundreds of people).

The sun was blazing hot, and we had to stand facing it to film everything to avoid shadows, but we got the footage we needed, and richmond was able to communicate the script, with the help of a free TelePrompTer App on the iPad.

Next stage is to film the pastor who will be featuring on the video, which might be a little harder, considering he won’t be an actor and might struggle with understanding my excellent British accent (“Jolly good show, old chap”).
